Analisis Kepuasan Kerja Karyawan dengan Pendekatan Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) pada PT XYZ

Job satisfaction plays a critical role in shaping employee performance and organizational stability, making it essential for companies to evaluate whether internal conditions align with employee expectations. This study aims to evaluate employee job satisfaction using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method to identify priority areas for organizational improvement. The research was conducted on 20 employees from the Tax Service division of PT XYZ as research respondents. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire containing indicators of importance and performance related to ten aspects of job satisfaction. The instrument underwent validity and reliability testing, with all items meeting the required statistical criteria, indicating that the questionnaire was both accurate and internally consistent for further analysis. Data analysis included calculating gap values to compare perceived performance with employee expectations and mapping each indicator into the IPA Cartesian diagram. The findings show that all indicators generated positive gap values, indicating that employees perceive organizational performance as meeting or exceeding their expectations. IPA mapping further revealed that Adaptability emerged as a high-priority improvement area, while Quality of Work, Knowledge of Job, and Overall Performance were categorized as strengths that should be maintained. Meanwhile, several indicators such as Productivity, Judgment, and Interpersonal Relations—were classified as lower-priority aspects. Overall, the findings provide practical insights for managerial decision-making, emphasizing the need to focus improvement efforts on high-priority indicators while maintaining existing strengths to enhance employee job satisfaction.
