FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI MINAT MAHASISWA BERINVESTASI DI PASAR MODAL SYARIAH UIN SUNAN AMPEL SURABAYA

This study analyzes the financial management factors that influence students’ interest in investing in the Islamic capital market at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. The research is motivated by the increasing importance of financial literacy among young adults and the rapid development of digital investment platforms. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with five students who have experience in Islamic-based investment instruments. The results show that students’ interest in investing is shaped by several key determinants, including financial literacy, investment knowledge, risk perception, religious values, campus-based financial education, digital convenience, social influence, and personal financial goals. Notably, the study finds that long-term financial motivation such as achieving financial independence and preparing for future needs emerges as a strong internal driver that encourages students to begin investing. These findings highlight the importance of structured and practical financial education initiatives on campus to improve students’ readiness and confidence in participating in the Islamic capital market.
