This study examines the financial performance of the DKI Jakarta Province during the 2022-2023 fiscal period, focusing on budget efficiency and effectiveness. Employing a quantitative descriptive method, the research evaluates data through various financial ratios. The findings reveal high fiscal independence with an RKKD (Regional Fiscal Independence Ratio) decreasing from 195.01% in 2022 to 183.37% in 2023, indicating a reliance on central government transfers. Local revenue effectiveness remained below target, improving marginally from 58.89% in 2022 to 66.07% in 2023. Despite reduced inefficiencies in regional expenditure, as indicated by a decline in the REKD (Regional Financial Efficiency Ratio) from 141.16% to 135.15%, financial management remains suboptimal. Operational expenditures dominated total spending, leaving capital expenditure proportions relatively low. However, significant growth in local revenue was noted, with an increase of 9.62% in 2022 and 18.11% in 2023. While the province demonstrated some progress in revenue and expenditure management, it continues to face challenges in achieving fiscal independence and optimal budget utilization.
